270mm Sujihiki Slicing knife with Tanto Tip

$ 1,900.00

Gifting this knife is gifting a lifetime of enjoyment.

Is it a sujihiki or is it a kiritsuke? Actually, this custom design is a combination of both!

This gorgeous Japanese hand-forged 270mm (approx. 10.5") blade will make the perfect addition for any professional chef, knife collector or cooking enthusiast. It will also be an impressive addition to your holiday dining table for slicing ham or any meat with the sharpness to make super thin cuts with ease.

Hand-forged in Japan by an 8th generation blade maker who used a new speciality carbon steel designed for professional chefs called V6 Super Pro cutlery steel. It has an amazing feel and is easy to sharpen to a razors edge.

The blade is unique in its beautiful whirlpool damascus pattern finish. Created from start to finish by one person who also makes his own billets from thick bar stock: the blade and cutting edge have been expertly ground and forged by hand.

For this knife, he chose a blasted gray matte finish, which will look like winter on your holiday table.

We have sold his chef knives to both collectors and professional chefs, always with rave reviews.

In this newest addition to this culinary knife line, we have added this very beautiful and functional slicing knife, called a sujihiki, with a modified tanto-style tip. Use it for slicing any meat, large boneless roasts, ham, fish, poultry or making sushi. You will also love how it slices right through soft breads or a special occasion cake!

The custom, handcrafted handle is made from exotic and rare Hawaiian koa wood with buffalo horn and a whitish G10 accent spacer. A single nickel-silver pin adds extra strength and a bit of bling.

Price shown is for knife only.
