This beautiful and super high quality hand-forged stainless steel bunka features a chef knife with our new mini knife block for secure and beautiful storage of your favorite knife.

Knife sizes are typically measured by blade size.  This unique Salter design bunka features a 180mm (approx. 7-1/8") blade. This bunka is great for general all-purpose cooking chores, and is particularly well suited for meats, fish and vegetables.

The blade was designed by and hand-forged in Japan exclusively for Salter Fine Cutlery. Made with one of the best quality stainless Japanese steels available, called R2 damascus powder metal die steel, it has an exceptional cutting edge and edge retention capabilities.

The striking claw mark pattern in high polished steel together with matte finish damascus lines near the blade edge create a most exciting new look. It has been signed in kanji by the bladesmith denoting its status as a work of art.

For this knife we chose our artist-series handle: in this case, featuring a rounded and slightly curved handle with flat sides of premium grade Hawaiian curly koa wood with nickel-silver bolster and end cap. A Mozambique ebony decorative insert, plus black and white accents complete the look.

The price shown is for the bunka knife with our all-new mini single knife block stand, This stand is handcrafted with the same quality and features of our larger knife blocks of curly koa wood and maple. 

The single knife block allows the user to have their new favorite knife handy for instant use, plus provides safe protection while looking modern and great in any kitchen.
